Octavo (8vo) of 187 + 1 pp. Blue half-morocco with corners, raised bands spine, title labels, compartments decorated with gilt fleurons of classical inspiration, gilt palmettes. The original wrappers, printed and illustrated, are preserved. Spine very slightly sunned. Deluxe edition limited to 550 numbered copies, this one of 500 copies on handmade wove paper (no. 133). The two-tone frontispiece is by Auguste-Henri Thomas (as are the covers). Fine copy in a binding "executed for the Louis Conard bookshop".</p>
