Contemporary full porphyry calf, smooth spine with false raised bands, compartments decorated with fleurons, tan morocco title label, triple gilt fillets on the boards. Upper joint starting to split over 2 cm, dampstain on page 1. First edition. Complete with the frontispiece and the 3 plates engraved by Levasseur, Massard, Le Veau and Masquelier after Gravelot. A fine copy despite the reported flaws.
