One of 415 numbered copies on Lafuma-Navarre pure thread vellum (no. 259). Complete copy, preserved in its original paperback binding. Good overall condition. Only half of the book has been opened. The other half of the leaves remains uncut. The Carnets gather the personal notes, reflections, and fragments left by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, published after his disappearance in 1944. A true workshop of the writer's thought, this collection reveals the progressive development of his major inquiries into man, action, responsibility, fraternity, and the search for a spiritual meaning to existence. These pages shed light on the genesis of his work and extend the themes developed in Vol de nuit, Terre des hommes, and Citadelle.
