The other half of the leaves remains uncut. The Carnets gather the personal notes, reflections, and fragments left by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, published after his disappearance in 1944. A true workshop of the writer's thought, this collection reveals the progressive development of his major inquiries into man, action, responsibility, fraternity, and the search for a spiritual meaning to existence. These pages shed light on the genesis of his work and extend the themes developed in Vol de nuit, Terre des hommes, and Citadelle.
