This plate belongs to the collection of "Illustration[s] de toutes les plantes économiques » (1786-1796, 8 volumes and 800 plates), which recorded « all the economic plants, all the types of cereals, culinary and flowering plants, trees and shrubs, as well as the most common and most invasive weeds », engraved by Johann Simon von Kerner. Very good condition, hand-coloured Johann-Simon Kerner (1755-1830), a German professor and botanist, himself wrote and illustrated numerous works of botany applied to the economy.
