Ecclesiastes, traditionally attributed to King Solomon, is one of the most profound books of wisdom in the Bible. Through a meditation on the human condition, it recalls the ephemeral nature of wealth, power, and earthly ambitions, affirming that "all is vanity." It invites the reader to welcome the simple joys of existence with gratitude, to recognize the limits of human knowledge, and to place trust in God. Its timeless message makes it a major text of sapiential literature and universal thought. "Certificate of Guarantee I, the undersigned PARDO Joseph, Artisan publisher-illuminator of the National Corporation of Master Book Artisans, Trade Register number 14.949, registered in Nice on February 22, 1957, by the Clerk of the Commercial Court of Nice, Certify that the present volume designated below as follows: Title: ECCLESIASTE — Copy 117 Paper: Docelles pure rag vellum Illustrator: BRONNER Subscription price: ....... on the date of: February 1, 1960. Bound in full hand-worked morocco-grained Madras goat leather was produced according to French artisanal methods, with the collaboration of master artisans, artists, colorists, layout designers, and specialized workers. In particular, the illustrations were illuminated and hand-painted with a brush, under my direction; this to the exclusion of any other mechanical or semi-mechanical coloring method (such as clichage, litho, masks, cut-outs, stencils, spray guns, etc....). Each of the drawings was thus colored according to the artist's models, directly on each page by one or another of the painter-colorists who honor me with their collaboration. Thus, to color the entirety of one of my deluxe editions requires an average time of no less than two years. The volume therefore constitutes a French artisanal work of considerable value and out of trade, which in principle can only be found by subscription through our distributors specialized in the Hand-crafted Grand Luxe category, the highest class of Contemporary French Publishing. Done in Nice in a Unique Copy by Joseph PARDO, at the sign of the Sefer, at number six rue de la descente Crotti. Published for M Red wax seal Joseph Pardo (handwritten signature) No. 002303"
