Ecclesiastes, traditionally attributed to King Solomon, is one of the most profound books of wisdom in the Bible. Bound in full hand-worked morocco-grained Madras goat leather was produced according to French artisanal methods, with the collaboration of master artisans, artists, colorists, layout designers, and specialized workers. In particular, the illustrations were illuminated and hand-painted with a brush, under my direction; this to the exclusion of any other mechanical or semi-mechanical coloring method (such as clichage, litho, masks, cut-outs, stencils, spray guns, etc....). Each of the drawings was thus colored according to the artist's models, directly on each page by one or another of the painter-colorists who honor me with their collaboration. Thus, to color the entirety of one of my deluxe editions requires an average time of no less than two years.
