Folding album complete with its 24 lithographs by Charles MERCEREAU, printed in sepia and finely hand-coloured (10cm x 14 cm). Views of Tarbes, Bagnères de Bigorre, Baudéan, Campan, Barèges, Luz, Saint Sauveur, Soulom, Saint Salvin, Beaucens, Argelès, Lourdes, Cauterets. Hand-colouring of great quality, with nuanced tones in the foliage. Charles Mercereau, born in Tarbes in 1822 and died in Paris in 1864, was a draughtsman of views and landscapes who collaborated on albums such as "Ponts et cascades des Pyrénées" and "La France de nos jours". Small split to one joint of the boards, interior very fresh, without foxing.
