It brought together writers, critics and artists linked to the Symbolist and Nabi movements, while taking part in the cultural and political debates of its time. It remains particularly famous today thanks to the lithographed poster produced by Toulouse-Lautrec in 1895, which has become an emblematic work of Art Nouveau and of the modern poster.
