Plate before letters from the series "Hommage à la Grèce Olympique d'après Homère" by Jean Jacoby (1891, Hollerich - Luxembourg - 1936, Mulhouse), an artist of Luxembourg origin, who distinguished himself notably through his sporting paintings and posters. He was a pupil of Jordan and Cammissar at the Arts Décoratifs school in Strasbourg.
