Size of the drawing: 238 x 314 mm Size of the sheet: 298 x 382 mm Jules Coignet was trained in historical landscape by the painter Jean-Victor Bertin; he worked extensively from nature and travelled a great deal. This drawing must therefore have been executed on the spot during a journey in Switzerland. Light foxing on the paper and traces of glue.
